Pfitscher South Tyrolean bacon is such a special treat because it's made according to a centuries-old recipe. It's perfectly smoked so that its aroma is pronounced and spicy yet also mild. This perfect method of smoking is what's responsible for the bacon's very special flavor. Several months of aging intensify its aroma, making it a mouthwatering treat like no other. 

The South Tyrolean Bacon (P.G.I. – Protected Geographical Indication) symbol guarantees the origin, history, and tradition of this fine product. It is applied only to bacon made "with the meat mallet" and according to traditional methods in South Tyrol.
